FINAL GRADES! I have posted wiki points and final grades on Blackboard. I have tried to be FAIR. If I had real questions I sent you a message. If YOU have real questions, then send me a message. I am counting on a few people saying "I only need this much more for the next grade up!" I will listen, butnote that I feel like I have already done what I can in your favor while trying to maintain a fair standard.

Regardless of your final grade, thank you for being in the class. I hope you feel like you have learned a lot, and I hope you appreciate what an amazing website you have created. I hope you will keep in touch with a message to me now and then. I'm sure you will do many wonderful things! ~Kevin
Instructor Communications - The Anatomy WikiWorldwide attention! Way back when I first used Wetpaint and Provo College students and I created the Physiwiki site, I set up a Google Analytics account. I then promptly forgot all about it and have never tracked visitors to the site. Today I was wondering who is visiting the Anatowiki so I went back to Google Analytics. It will be a while before we can get data on this site, but I was stunned to see the worldwide attention for the Physiwiki site! In the past month more than 2,500 unique visitors from over 1,000 different cities around the world have checked out the site. I can only imagine that the anatowiki site is getting quite a bit MORE attention. Wow! We have an international audience and didn't even realize it! Check back in a week or two and I can give you some usage data for this site. ~Kevin

Final Exam This Week!!! Congratulations on all you have learned!
The second video visually demonstrates the simple process of arriving at the correct answer! (My favorite of these sequences starts at 4 minutes, 12 seconds--I like the little Japanese song that accompanies it. By the way, the phrase they are repeating is "Pitagora suitchi!" which means "Pythagoras Switch." It is from a Japanese children's show)

sunflowerHappy moment! At 2:30 AM on Wed morning I officially made it through all the emails I was behind on! I now have 47 pages of wiki reports all in one place and 67 pages of questions to sort through.

I had to gather all the student questions as part of making the final exams . . . which have to be ready for Brigham City students this afternoon. I think I'll go take a nap before I work on this some more. ~K

Mon 7 PM. I posted the outline of notes that were taken during class from the Brigham City review. It is a Word document attached at the bottom of this page.
Sat 2 PM. Mindmap posted for Circulatory System.
Thurs (7/31) 11:50 PM. I FINALLY posted another practice quiz! 50 questions on circulatory system (including 8 on lymphatic, which we didn't cover in Provo). I did not include student submissions on this practice quiz but will try to get many of your questions on the final. By the way, this week our site was #82 on the "Top 500" list for all of Wetpaint, which is really a reflection of site activity (if it were a measure of coolness we would be in the top 10, right?). All this activity brings a lot of attention and several people from outside of class have been joining the site--welcome to all!
Tues. (7/29) 8:20 AM. This site is awesome! You keep making it better. I'm thinking that next time I teach the class we will abandon the textbook and use this and the anatomy coloring book as our principal sources of information. I wrote down several thoughts for a radically different class structure for next time and would love to get your feedback.
Thurs. 1 PM. I would like a short report from each person about their individual wiki contributions to the group projects. In the syllabus, it states the points for working on the wiki are as follows:
  • Making a study page on the wiki: 75 points
  • Reviewing and editing a study page on the wiki: 25 points
  • Submitting 5 questions per unit (as a group): 30 points
  • Making a profile and contributing to the group profile page: 10 points
In your brief report I would like you to say how many points you think you deserve in each of the above categories. I would like you to back up your suggestion--you can give me as much information as you think is needed to justify what you are recommending for your grade. I would also like you to tell me what worked or did not work about the group assignments, and whether group members did or did not participate fully.
  • Please finish the majority of your wiki work by next Wednesday (23 July) and get your report to me by the following Monday.
